Terms of Service
By downloading or using Alusa, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Alusa is
Alusa is a calorie tracking app with an AI body analyzer. You photograph a meal and receive an estimate of its calories and macronutrients. You photograph yourself and receive an estimate of your physique development over time.
Alusa is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
Do not use Alusa to make medical decisions. If you have or suspect an eating disorder, a metabolic condition, or any other health concern, speak to a doctor. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under medical supervision, consult your doctor before changing what you eat.
Estimates are estimates
Calorie and macronutrient figures produced from a photograph are approximations. They depend on what is visible, on portion size, and on ingredients the camera cannot see. Treat them as a useful signal over time, not as exact measurements.
Body scan scores describe training development only. They are not a health assessment, not a fitness-for-activity assessment, and not a judgement of appearance. They are estimated from photographs and carry real uncertainty. The trend across several scans is more meaningful than any single number.
Who can use Alusa
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you should have the agreement of a parent or guardian before starting any change to what you eat.
Subscription, billing and cancellation
Alusa is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store.
- Two plans are offered: an annual plan, which includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers, and a monthly plan, which does not include a trial.
- The exact price is always shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency. Prices vary by country and are set by the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
- If you take the free trial and do not cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Alusa. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf, because we do not control Apple billing.
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
The photographs and the data you enter remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to process a photograph when you ask for an analysis, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your photographs to train AI models.
Acceptable use
Do not use Alusa to upload content that is unlawful, or that shows a person who has not agreed to be photographed. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or automate access to the app or its services.
Availability
We aim to keep Alusa working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. AI features depend on third-party services that can be unavailable. Features may change or be removed as the app develops.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alusa is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any decision you make about food, exercise or health based on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
